probability that the ball transferred was white  =  4/5

Step-by-step explanation:

Urn a Contains   2 White  1 Black

Urn b Contains   1 White  5 black

if White Ball is transferred then (2/3)

Urn b has  2 White  & 5 Black

Probability of Drawing white Ball = 2/7

Probability = (2/3)(2/7) = 4/21

if Black Ball is transferred then (1/3)

Urn b has  1 White  & 6 Black

Probability of Drawing white Ball = 1/7

Probability =  (1/3)(1/7)  = 1/21

probability that the ball transferred was white  = 4/21/(4/21 + 1/21)

= 4/5
