The abilities the writer feels the youth should be equipped with to be able to serve the nation are as follows:

  1. Strong Patriotic feelings - youth should have deep love for the country.
  2. Physical strength - should have the energy and stamina to serve the country specially in the army, navy or air force.
  3. Mental stability - For any role of service to the nation, the youth should be of sound mind
  4. Detachment from worldly possessions- If serving in defence sector, the youth will have to rough it out, and learn to live with less belongings.
