Answer:

Steps of construction

Step I - Draw a ray OA as shown in figure

Step II - With the help of a protractor construct an angle AOB measure 70

o

Step III - With a centre O and a convenient radius draw an arc cutting sides OA and OB at P and Q respectively.

Step IV - With centre P and radius more than half PQ , draw an arc.

Step V - With centre Q and the same radius, as in the previous step ,draw another arc intersecting the arc drawn in the previous step at R .

Step VI - Join OR and produce it to form ray OX .

steps of construction:

(a) Draw an angle 70 degree with protractor i.e ∠ POQ = 70 degree

(b) Draw a ray AB

(c) Place the compasses at O and draw an arc to cut rays of ∠ POQ at L and M.

(d) Use the same compasses, setting to draw an arc A as center, cutting AB, at x.

(e) Set your compasses setting to the length LM with same radius.

(f) Place the compasses pointer at x and draw the arc to cut the arc drawn earlier at y.

(g) Join AY .Thus ∠ YAX = 70 degree.
