 {x}^{3 }  - x + 1

(3/2)^3 - 3/2 + 1

27/8 -3/2 +1

(27-12+8)/8

(15+8)/8

as by applying the value of x =2/3 the remainder is not 0

therefore , it is not a factor of x^3-x+1.
