In the picture the blue region is the region described by the 5 constraints. ( x1 is the horizontal axis, x2 the vertical axis). Each of the constraints defines a half plane, the blue region is the intersection of those 5 half planes. The red lines are lines of constant z . The value of z increases by 1 as you move to the right. Now it is easy to identify the point, still in the blue region, where z takes on its maximum. You will notice, that in that maximum only two of the constraints play an active role.
