The main use of chemical fertilizers is to increase or maintain the fertility of the soil. There are two types of fertilizers-

1. Chemical (man-made and made from mostly harmful chemicals such as ammonia).
2. Natural (man-made but from natural materialis such as from cow-dung or vegetable waste).

Man-made fertilizers highly increase the fertility of the soil and thus also increses yeild per year.But, their regular use severely destroys the soil and crops adding to them lead,etc that are unfit for human consumption as they cause disease such as stomach problems and even cancer. On the other hand, Natural-fertilizers slowly improve the fertility of the soil, can be used regularly as the doesn't cause any harm to soil or crop and thus increases the yeild per year and their yeild (crops) are healthy too.
