I would have gone to the party,but i was tired.
He should have told the truth about what he told

Could have is used when there is a possibility. Eg.- She could have died.
Should have is used when the thing should have been done. Eg.- I should have played the game.
Would have is also like could have and should have ... There is a possibility and that action should have been performed. Eg.- I would have gone swimming but wanted to rest.
