••KOH is Potassium hydroxide.

••This was used in Mohls half leaf experiment.

••In a wide mouthed bottle,few amount of KOH solution was put and the lead was inserted and closed with cork.

••Then test for starch was done

••No starch was formed in kOH and starch was formed where the upper part was left in exposure.
