Let f (n) = n^2 -2n .
After noting f (3)>0 , we suppose that f (n)>0.
Now,
f (n+1) = (n+1)^2 -2 (n+1)
=n^2 + 2n - 2n -2
= f (n) + 2n -2 > 0
