Answer:

2x+y=5(×3)--->equation-1

x+3y=5(×1)---->equation-2

solving equations we get

6x+3y=15

x+3y=5

(subtract all of them as they all have positive sign)

=>5x-0=10

(x=2)

substitute x value in equation-1

2(2)+y=5

4+y=5

y=5-4

(y=1)
