solving (I)

⟹(x + 8)(x - 10)

⟹x(x - 10) + 8(x - 10)

⟹ {x}^{2} - 10x + 8x - 80 = 0

⟹ {x}^{2} - 2x - 80 = 0✓(product)

⟹x(x - 10) + 8(x - 10) = 0

⟹(x + 8)(x - 10) = 0

⟹x + 8 = 0

⟹x = - 8

⟹x - 10 = 0

⟹x = 10

solving (ii)

⟹(x + 4)(x + 10)

⟹x(x + 10) + 4(x + 10)

⟹ {x}^{2} + 10x + 4x + 40 = 0

⟹ {x}^{2} + 14x + 40 = 0✓(product)

⟹x(x + 10) + 4(x + 10)

⟹(x + 4)(x + 10) = 0

⟹x + 4 = 0

⟹x = - 4

⟹x + 10 = 0

⟹x = - 10
