A wishful wish

Janki had just been elected School Captain . Winning the elections had been real difficult. The opponents were pretty tough and competent. Now that she had finally succeeded she had to stand the acid test to prove her worth.

In the upcoming months Janki planned to bring in a lot of changes. She would introduce more extra-curricular activities. There would be more Nature Walks. How about having a Reading Club and a Drama club? She would explore all avenues.

It was very much essential that she deliver the goods or else she would have to step down as Captain. What else could be done, Janki wondered. She had to explore her whole bag of tricks. She had to prove that she was the best Captain in the history of the school.

Suddenly there was big jolt. Someone was screaming her name. Janki realized she had been day dreaming in the school bus. Her school had come. The results were to be shortly announced. If she lost the election her dream would be just to  chase her tail. With a pounding her she rushed in keeping her fingers crossed.
