HJL+ljk=180
26x-7+10x+7=180
36x=180
therefore x=180/36
x=5
hope it will help u

LINEAR PAIR : If a ray stands on a line, then the sum of two adjacent angle is 180°.

Given :

m∠HJL=(26x-7)° and m∠LJK=(10x+7)°

∠HJL +  ∠LJK = 180°

[Linear pair]

(26x -7)° + (10x+7)° = 180°

26 x +10 x -7 +7 = 180°

36x = 180°

x = 180°/36 = 5°

x = 5°

m∠HJL =(26x-7)°

= 26 × 5 -7 = 130 -7 = 123°

m∠HJL = 143°

m∠LJK=(10x+7)°

= 10 × 5 +7 = 50 +7 = 57°

m∠LJK= 57°

Hence , the value of x is 5° , m∠HJL = 143° and m∠ LJK= 57°
