Use the Distance Formula to find the distance between (5, −4) and (0, 8) .

hey buddy here is your answer

distance between (5,-4) and (0,8) is = (5 and 12 )(answer)

because 0 to 5 distance is 5 both are going positive

and distance between -4 to 8 is =12 because -4 is on left side on number line which is 4 points behind from 0 and 8 points ahead from 0 .

and with distance formula

D = √(x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2

=√(0-5)^2+ {8-(-4)}^2
