Using distributive property, the expression equivalent to 5 x ( 3 + 4 ) is (5 x 3) + (5 x 4)

Solution:

Given, expression is 5 x (3 + 4)

We have to write the expression which equivalent to the above expression by using distributive property.

Now, we know that, by using distributive property, a single term is distributed to more terms which related by product or brackets. That is,

a x ( b + c ) = (a x b) + (a x c)

Now, 5 x ( 3 + 4 ) = (5 x 3) + (5 x 4 )

Hence, the expression which is equivalent to given expression is (5 x 3) + (5 x 4)
