Solution -

We have an equation,

  • x + 3y = -6

Case I

  • when x = 0

➝ 0 + 3y = -6

➝ 3y = -6

➝ y = -6/3

➝ y = -2

Hence,

  • When x = 0, value of y is -2.

Case II

  • when y = 0

➝ x + 3(0) = -6

➝ x + 0 = -6

➝ x = -6

Hence,

  • When y = 0, value of x is -6.

Thus,

  • (i) → option (d) is correct.
  • (ii) → option (c) is correct.
