104° Fahrenheit

The relationship between Celsius and Fahrenheit scales of temperature measuring is that :

 \frac{c}{5}  =  \frac{f - 32}{9}

Now 40°C into Fahrenheit is :

 \frac{40}{5}  =  \frac{f - 32}{9}  \\  \\ 40 \times 9 = 5(f - 32) \\ 360 = 5f - 160 \\ 360 + 160 = 5f \\ 520 = 5f \\ f =  \frac{520}{5}

f = 104

Thus 40°C in Fahrenheit is 104° Fahrenheit.

More to know :-

  • Specific heat capacity of a substance is the heat energy required to raise the temperature of a substance of unit mass through 1°C.
  • If one body is passing heat energy to another body then the Temperature at which flow of heat energy will stop is called thermal equilibrium.
