now write table of three

3x1=3

3x2=6

3x3=9

3x4=12

3x5=15

3x6=18...

now 7th term of this series is 3x7

therefore use formula nthterm = a + (n-1)d

d= 6-3 = 9-6 =3

hence 7th term is 3 + 3x6 , from above series 3x6 = 18 , therfore ans is 21

now a better method is plot y=3x graph and find out value of ordinate when abcissa is 7
