Hey mate I don't know by which method should i give you the answer(it heavily depends on your class). But I am going to use the method that came to my mind first (class 10)

Answer:

d = 60m

Step-by-step explanation:

In ΔABC & ΔCDE

∠ACB = ∠ECD [Vertically opposite angles]

∠DEC = ∠ABC= 90°[Both of them are right angles as per the question / given]

Hence,

           ΔABC ≈ ΔCDE [these both triangles are similar by AA criteria rule]

Hence we can say that : \frac{AB}{ED} =\frac{BC}{CE}

\frac{105}{d} =\frac{140}{80}

\frac{105}{d} =\frac{14}{8}

\frac{105}{d} =\frac{7}{4}

4(105) = 7d

420 = 7d

d = \frac{420}{7}

d = 60

Hope it helps
