Use the graph paper for this question. ( Take 2cm = 1unit along both the axis)Plot the
points O(0,0), A(-4,4), B(-3,0) and C(0,-3).
i) Reflect the points A and B on the Y-axis and name them A’ and B’respectively. Write down
their coordinates.

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the figure =

Area of ΔABO + ΔA'B'O + ΔBB'C

Area of ΔABO = 1/2 × base × height

                        = 1/2 × 3 × 4

                        = 6 unit^2

Area of ΔA'B'O = 6 unit^2             (both ΔABO and ΔA'B'O are equal)

Area of ΔBB'C  = 1/2 × base × height

                         = 1/2 × 6 × 3

                         = 9 unit^2

Area of the figure = 9+ 6 + 6

                             = 21 unit^2
