◆ CONCEPT OF MATTER - Matter is anything that has mass and occupies space. Table, Chair, Book, Pencil, Duster, Air, Sugar, Wood, Water, Oil, Milk, etc. everything is matter.

◆ TYPES OF MATTER -
● Solid
● Liquid
● Gas

◆ EXPLANATION AS PER THE PARTICLE MODEL OF MATTER [WHY LIQUIDS DO NOT HAVE DEFINITE SHAPE ?]
Liquids do not have definite shape because in liquids the constituent particles can move over short distances, slip and slide past each other and readjust their positions. This means they are able to move freely. Even, the intermolecular force in liquids is less than that in solids.

Liquids have no define shape we can explain it by saying that the liquids take the shape of the container in which it is filled. It depends on the container . For example - water. Its particles are more loosely packed than a solid and less loosely packed than a liquid hence, therefore we can conclude that liquids have no define shape.....
