the air particles having the aroma of the cooked food are hot i.e. they have high temperature due to which the particles start moving and pass the vibrations of their particles to the surrounding air particles and spread kinetic energy..this energy slowly gets passed to the other particles of air and reach the living room and we are able to smell it..moreover there is no need of wind for this natural phenomena to occur.....
