a=4ft; b=10ft; c=12ft

By pythagoras,

a^2+b^2=c^2

a^2+b^2=4^2+10^2=16+100=116

c^2=12^2=144

=>a^2+b^2 =/= c^2

i.e a^2+b^2 is not equal to c^2

=>it is not a right triangle
