a. Minhaj-i Siraj was a chronicler during the Sultanate time, who used the word Hindustan , in a different sense unlike the modern nation state that we refer today.
b. According to him,  Hindustan basically included areas of Punjab, Haryana and between Ganga and Yamuna.
c. The term was used in the political sense to denote areas under the Delhi Sultanate control.
d. It did not include South India.
