Whittaker usually used five kingdom systems in order to classify the particular organisms.

Fungi are eukaryotic microbe which can be unicellular or multicellular.

Kingdom Monera is comprised of prokaryotic microbes which include bacteria, protozoa and algae.

The kingdom based classification was introduced by Robert Whittaker which is generally used for organism’s classification.
