There are three types of material

Conductor

Semiconductor

Insulator.

good conductor means which have low resistance and can supply energy (electrical,heat, etc.) without higher losses. Like silver, cu, etc.

And insulators are also called as bad conductors which has higher resistance which oppose the flow of current. Like wood, plastic, glass,rubber, etc.
