aquaculture is the farming of fish , crust oceans , molluscs , aquatic plants , algae , and other aquatic organisms. aquaculture involves cultivating fresh water and saltwater population under controlled conditions , and can be contrasted with commercial fishing which is the harvesting of wild fish.
