There are many uses of leaves. Leaves are the site of photosynthesis. plants prepare their food with the help of photosynthesis. CO${}^{2}$ is taken in and oxygen is given out during photosynthesis.

Leaves can be eaten. We eat green leafy vegetables like spinach. Many leaves are also used as fodder for domestic animals like cows. Leaves of medical plants are used to treat many conditions and diseases. For ex:- Tulsi leaves are used to treat respiratory disease; whereas neem leaves are effective in treating skin disorder.
