Uses of metals

1) Iron ,Copper and Aluminum are used to make cooking utensils,water boilers for factories.

2) Copper metal is used for making electric wires for household wiring,electric motors,armature of dynamos etc.

3) Aluminium metal is used for making electric cables and over head electric transmission lines.

4) Aluminium foils are used for packaging medicines,chocolates,food items etc.

5) Iron metal is used for make nails,screws,nut-bolts,pipes,gas cylinder,office furniture, building bridges, railway lines,vehicles etc

6) Zinc metal is used for galvanising iron to protect it from rusting.

7) Gold and silver are used for making jewellery.

8)Hydrogen is used in making thermometers.

4) Iodine is used to make purple coloured solution called tincture of iodine which is applied on cuts and wounds as an antiseptic.

5) Sulphur and phosphorus which are used in fireworks.

6) Sulphur is used in the vulcanisation of rubber.

7) Carbon is used as a fuel.
