hiiiii mate..........
Here's Ur answer.......
◆◆pH scale is a scale used by chemists to test the presence of acid or a base .
◆◆It also instigated that how strong is the acid or the base .
◆◆Below 7 represents acidic nature.
Above 7 represents basic nature.
On 7 represents neutral nature.
pH is used in ........
● It is used to test which fertilizers are good for which crop.
● pH change as the cause of tooth decay.
When too much acid is formed in mouth bcz of less cleaning , toothpaste acts as a base and neutralizes the effect.
hope it helps❤

♠ pH SCALE
___________________________________
❇ FIRST OF ALL, p H stands for Potenz of Hydrogen which means " potential of Hydrogen ".
pH scale is used as an indicator to identify the concentration of Hydrogen in the given acidic and basic medium.
❇ USES OF p H scale :
___________________________________
( 1 ). The pH scale varies from 0 to 14. A pH value from 0 to 6.9 represents an acidic solution whereas a pH value from 7.1 to 14 represents basic solution. A pH value of 7 represents neutral solution.
( 2 ). TOOTH ENAMEL which is made of CALCIUM PHOSPHATE , is sensitive to pH . It doesn't dissolve in water but gets corroded when pH in the mouth is below 5.5
Hence, tooth decay starts when pH is below 5.5
( 3 ). The TOOTHPASTES used by us for cleaning our teeth are generally basic in nature. HENCE, it can neutralise excess acid present in the mouth and prevent tooth deacy.
( 4 ). Acids are produced in the mouth due to degradation off sugar and food particles by certain bacteria. As, a result, the pH of mouth is lowered.
