Preposition : A preposition is a word or a collection of words which is put before a Noun or Pronoun to show its position in the place or in the situation, or to relate it with other words in a sentence.

Uses of prepositions :

1. To state the position of objects / place of the Noun or Pronoun -

On - The book is on the table.

Under - They are sitting under the tree.

In - He is sleeping in the room.

Against - Suravi is leaning against the wall.

Outside - It is raining outside.

In - We live in Mumbai.

At - They live at Domjur.

Between - The table is between two chairs.

2. To state time -

At - Do not go out at night.

In - He gets up early in the morning.
