A voltmeter is an instrument used for measuring electrical potential difference between two points in an electric circuit.

Ampmeters measure current.

Ohmmeters measure resistance.

Continuity checking tools make sure circuits are closed.

These are all functions performed by a multimeter. Some can do more, some can do less.

you can do many things with it
measuring voltage:
1. checking batteries
2.troubleshooting project
3. verifying power is on or off to appliances,outlets etc...but be careful.
use of voltmeter as a general interface device:
*connect it to analog output of arduino ,or P
