time taken to complete the journey= 10 hour

time taken in first half= 10km/hr

Step-by-step explanation:

=50km in 5hr

time taken in second half = 15 km / hr

= 75km in 5 hr

therefore Total distance covered =50+75=125km in 10 hr

Answer:

answer is 120km

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total distance of marathan race=X km.

and total time taken=10hours.

half of race completes with the speed of 10km/h and 15km/h...

Now,

time = distance/speed

so, T1=x/2/10

=x/2×10=x/20.

and, T2=x/2/15

=x/2×15=x/30.

then, T1+T2=10 hours.

x/20+x/30=10 hours

5x/60=10

5x=600

x=600/5=120 km

hence, the total distance of marathan race=120km.
