LCM of 2 and 5 = 10

Let the number of toffees he bought be 10.

The cost price of 2 toffees = Rs. 1

Therefore, the cost price of 10 toffees = Rs. (10/2) = Rs. 5

The selling price of 5 toffees = Rs. 1

Therefore, the selling price of 10 toffees = Rs. (10/5) = Rs. 2

Loss = Rs. (5-2) = Rs. 3

Loss percent = (3/5 X 100) % = 60%

The answer is d) 60%
