QUESTION:- 3/5 × 4/7 - 4/7 + 4/7 × 2/3

SOLUTION:- According to BODMAS rule

B:- brackets
O:- of
D :- Divide
M :- multiply
A:- Add
S:- Subtraction

So now step by step solution:-

\frac{3}{5} \times \frac{4}{7} = \frac{12}{35}

And

\frac{4}{7} \times \frac{2}{3} = \frac{8}{21}

NOW

=>  \frac{12}{35} - \frac{4}{7} + \frac{8}{21} \\ \\ \frac{12}{35} - ( \frac{12 - 8}{21} ) \\ \\ \frac{12}{35} - \frac{4}{21} \\ \\ \frac{12 \times 3 - 4 \times 5}{105} \\ \\ \frac{36 - 20}{105} \\ \\ \frac{16}{105} \\ \\ \frac{16}{105}

According to BODMAS, the order of precedence is:

⇒ Division

⇒ Multiplication

⇒ Addition

⇒ Subtraction


Given : (3/5) * (4/7) - (4/7) + (4/7) * (2/3).

⇒ (12/35) - (4/7) + (8/21)

LCM = 105.

⇒ (36/105) - (60/105) + (40/105)

⇒ (36 - 60 + 40)/105

⇒ 16/105.
