Answer: x = y = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that , (2x+3y, 3) = (5, 4x-y)

∴ We get,

2x + 3y = 5  ................................(1)   &

4x - y = 3     ................................(2)

Multiplying equation (1) with two

(2x + 3y) × 2 = 5 × 2

we get , 4x + 6y = 10  .................(3)

Now subtracting equation (2) from equation (3)

4x + 6y - (4x - y) = 10 - 3

4x + 6y - 4x + y = 7

7y = 7     ie, y = 1

substituting y = 1 in equation (2)

ie, 4x - 1 = 3

ie, 4x = 3 + 1  = 4

ie , x = 4/4 = 1

so we got , x = y = 1

HOPE THIS HELPS.....
