Using complete sentences, analyze two ways the natural environment of a city influences the built environment.
The answer is: Cities are built to take advantage of some natural features, such as waterways and sunshine. For example, cities like Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and New Orleans were built near waterways that provided a source of trade and a supply of water. Cities also are built to insulate residents from some natural features, such as extreme hot or cold temperatures. For example, Dubai, where summer temperatures are above 100 degrees, provides air-conditioned mall spaces, while Montreal, where winter temperatures are below 20 degrees, provides underground social spaces.

It is true that natural environment of the city greatly influences the life of the people. This became obvious at the time of industrial revolution when a common disease inflicted the entire nation.
The overcrowded areas and the unsanitary conditions let to the spreading of the infections at large. There is always the link between the health of the population and the built-in environment.
