Using cube root table, find the cube root of 953

We have,

950<953<960

 =  &gt;  \sqrt[3]{950}  &lt;  \sqrt[3]{953}  &lt;  \sqrt[3]{960}

From the cube root table, we have

 \sqrt[ 3]{950}  = 9.830 \:  \: and \:  \sqrt[3]{960}  = 9.865

Thus, for the difference of ( 960 - 950 ) i.e 10, The difference in the values
= ( 9.865 - 9.830 ) = 0.035

: For the difference of ( 935 - 950 ) i.e 3, the difference in the values

 = ( \frac{0.035}{10}  \times 3) \\  \\  = 0.0105 = 0.010 \:  \: ( \: upto \:  \: three \:  \: decimal \:  \: places \:  \: )

Hence \:  \:  \sqrt[3]{953}  = 9.830 + 0.010 = 9.840
