Where,

Since the last term is given in the question, we make use of the second formula….

Sn = [n/2][a + l]

a = 10, d = 10 (i.e. 20–10=30–20=40–30=…..), n = 100 (i.e. 1000/10), and l = 1000

So,

Sn = [100/2][10 + 1000]

Sn = [50][1010]

Sn = 50500

Therefore, the sum of the sequence is 50500
