The data given in the question is The cost of production of 1L of oxygen at STP Is Rs.x

We have to find the cost of production of 10L of Hydrogen.

During  electrolysis of water reactions carried out are:

At Anode: 2H_{2} O-- > O_{2} +4e^{-} +4H^{+}

At cathode:2(2e^{-} + 2H^{+}  --- > H_{2} )

For overall reaction we add both reactions

2H_{2} O----- > O_{2}+2H_{2}

So ,ratio of formation of O_{2} :H_{2}    is 1:2

The inverse will be 2:1

So,If O_{2} requires cost x,H_{2} will cost \frac{x}{2}

The above value is for 1 l

Then for 10 litres for hydrogen it is 10 * \frac{x}{2}

which is 5x.

The final answer is 5x.
