Step-by-step explanation:

LET THE WIDTH BE = x + 2

LET THE LENGTH BE = 4 ( x + 2 )

AREA OF POOL ( RECTANGLE ) = Length × Breadth

THEN,

  • x + 2 × 4 ( x + 2 )
  • x + 2 × 4x + 8
  • 5x = 10
  • x = 10/5
  • x = 2

WIDTH = ( X + 2 ) = 2 + 2 = 4 m

LENGTH = { 4 ( x + 2 )} = { 4 × 4 } = 16 m

hence width is 4 m

and length is 16 m
