using factor theolem, factorise the given polynomial x³+x²-4x-4​

Take x=2, then x^3+x^2-4x-4 is equal to zero.

Therefore x-2 is a factor.

Divide x^3+x^2-4x-4 by x-2, you will get x^2+3x+2

Factorise x^2+3x+2 by mid term splitting method.

you will get two factors (x+2) and (x+1)

So three factors are (x-2), (x+2) and (x+1)
