Step-by-step explanation:

f(x)=x³-3x²-4x+12

x²-4 is a factor

x²-4=0

x+2(x-2)=0

x=±2

x-2 and x+2 bith should be factor

x= 2 and -2

f(2)=(2)³-3(2)²-4(2)+12=8-12-8+12=0

f(2)=0 x-2 is a factor.

f(-2)= (-2)³-3(-2)²-4(-2)+12= -8-12+8+12=0

f(-2)=0 x+2 is a factor

(x-2)(x+2) is also a factor

-4 is factor

Hence proved using factor theorm
