Using factorisation find the roots of the quadratic equation y^2+2√3y+3=0​

+ 23y + 3 = 0

=> Sum of roots = - 23 and

product of roots = + 3

=> + 3y + 3y + 3 = 0

=> y ( y + 3 ) + 3 ( y + 3 ) = 0

=> ( y + 3 ) ( y + 3 ) = 0

=> ( y + 3 )² = 0

=> y = -3 and -3

so, these numbers satisfy the above conditions too .
