BD=v
AO=CD=u
BC will be=v-u
Area under the velocity-time graph gives s(distance/displacement).
s=Area of trapezium AODB
=1/2(AO+BD)×AC
=1/2(u+v)×t
=1/2(u+v)(v-u/a) ( Since v=u+at, t=v-u/a )
2as=(v+u)(v-u)
2as= v^2-u^2
Therefore-
v^2=u^2+2as
