The area is 7.2 m².

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Sides 1.8m, 8m, 8.2m.

To find : Area using heron's formula ?

Solution :

Heron's formula is A=\sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

Where, s is semi perimeter with formula

s=\frac{a+b+c}{2}

Here, a=1.8, b=8, c=8.2

Substitute the value,

s=\frac{1.8+8+8.2}{2}

s=\frac{18}{2}

s=9

Put in the heron's formula,

A=\sqrt{9(9-1.8)(9-8)(9-8.2)}

A=\sqrt{9(7.2)(1)(0.8)}

A=\sqrt{51.84}

A=7.2

Therefore, the area is 7.2 m².
