Solution:-

Given:-

  • Sides of the Triangle = 12 , 12 and 18.

To Find:-

  • Area of Triangle = ?

Find:-

Semi-perimeter = ( a + b + c)/2

=) s = ( 12 + 12 + 18 )/2

=) s = 42/2

=) s = 21 units.

Now,

Area of Triangle = √[ s( s-a)(s-b)(s-c) ]

=) Area = √[ 21 ( 21-12)(21-12)(21-18) ]

=) Area = √[ 21 × 9 × 9 × 3 ]

=) Area = 3 × 3 √[ 7 × 3 × 3 ]

=) Area = 9 × 3√7

=) Area = 27√7 sq. units

Hence,

Area of Triangle is 27√7 sq. units.
