☆Hey Mate☆

9.8 × 9.6 can also be written as

( 9 + 0.8 ) ( 9 + 0.6 )
Similar to ( x + a ) ( x + b )
= x ^2 + ( a+b )x + ab
= 9^2 + ( 0.8 + 0.6)9 + 0.8 × 0.6
= 81 + ( 1.4 × 9 ) + 0.48
= 81 + 12.6 + 0.48
= 94.08

Hope u like it! ☺✌

Hi there !!

Given,
to solve ,

9.8 × 9.6 using algebraic identities

in this case,
the identity (x + a)(x + b) = x² + x(a + b) + ab will be used

Therefore,

(9 + 0.8)( 9 + 0.6)

= (9)² + 9(0.8+0.6) + 0.8×0.6

= 81 + 12.6 + 0.48

= 94.08

Thus,

9.8 × 9.6 = 94.08

It can also be solved using the identity ,

(a - b)(a + b) where,
a = 9.7
b = 0.1

So,

(9.7 + 0.1)(9.7 - 0.1)

= (9.7)² - (0.1)²

= 94.08
