             To find:- Value of above expression.

             Solution:-

  • Here we will use the BODMAS rule.
  • BODMAS rule is to be followed while solving expressions in

         B= bracket

         O= order of power or rules

         D= division

         M= multiplication

         A= addition

         S=subtraction

         Therefore,

  • We know that the identity,

        a^{2} -b^{2} =(a+b)(a-b).

        similarly, we get

        978^{2} -22^{2}\\\Rightarrow(978)^{2}-(22)^{2}  \\\Rightarrow(978-22)(978+22)\\\Rightarrow (956)(1000)\\\Rightarrow 956000.

      Hence we will get (978)^{2} -(22)^{2} =956000.
