(x - 5)(x - 12) \\ = {(x)}^{2} + ( - 5 - 12)x + ( - 5) \times ( - 12) \\ = {x }^{2} + ( - 17x) + 60 \\ = {x}^{2} - 17x + 60
Using the identity - (x+a)(x+b)= (x)^2+(a+b)x+ab
